Díky projektům Šablony pro SŠ a VOŠ II a Rodilí mluvčí do škol působili i v letošním školním roce 2020/2021 na našem gymnáziu rodilí mluvčí.
A to hned několik!

Hodiny s Callumem byly fajn. Škoda, že jsme se s ním nemohli vidět ve škole.
Škoda, že neuměl vůbec česky, ale aspoň jsme stále museli mluvit anglicky. Paní učitelka nám někdy pomáhala.

Callum was our first native speaker. He wasn’t boring and we could understand him. We were reading texts and doing exercises from our textbooks. It was fine work with him.
Callum is from Britain. Lessons with him were fun, but we did more exercises from our Student’s Book and Workbook.
We liked Hilton because he always wanted to talk with us. He made presentations for us and he was very funny. He always came with something original.
We also liked Simba and his special activities. He was very funny. He wanted an opinion from the whole class.
Simba is from Africa and he was very nice. We were never bored in his lessons. We played a lot of funny games.
We like native speakers. The best of them is Simba. We like his lessons because he plays with us and he teaches us new words and phrases. Hilton was also good but we didn’t meet him in person. We had only online lessons with him.

During this year, we had lessons with two native speakers: Simba and Hilton. We had lessons with Simba at school and we discussed many different topics. For example, we talked about the problem with hunger in Africa. It was very interesting and fun. With Hilton we only had online lessons, so it wasn’t that good but we still enjoyed it. However, the lessons with both of them were entertaining; we learnt a lot of interesting information. We are happy that we had this opportunity.

We really enjoyed working and speaking with our native speakers. We had a chance to learn some new information about their cultures, their hobbies, their lives and about themselves. In addition, we also had an opportunity to speak with them and we could test ourselves if we are able to understand them clearly or not. It was also interesting to get to know their opinion on our country, how they feel here, if they are satisfied here or not, and if they like it here.
The lessons with Simba were really nice. I guess we understood everything. We liked that we were talking about Christmas and life in Zimbabwe. A good thing about him was that he included the whole class into talking not just two persons.
In my opinion, Simba is the best teacher. The whole class really enjoyed speaking with him.
At first, we were a little bit nervous because we didn´t know what to expect from the native speakers. But all of them were really lovely. We appreciated their patience because I know that sometimes it’s not easy to cooperate with us. The main issue is that we are not very talkative and don’t give much feedback. The lessons were really interesting. Moreover, topics about their native countries caught our attention quickly. In the end, it was a good experience. Simba and Jordan were our favourite native speakers.
In this year of remote education, we could enjoy several lessons with a native speaker. We went through several topics including British politics, culture, food, differences between the Czech Republic and Britain and many more. We had the unique opportunity to discuss those topics with him. I personally enjoyed it a lot since I much prefer speaking to any other activity; in addition to that, I really like to discover more about other cultures and I believe that now I know much more about Great Britain. Hopefully, I will be able to use the information in my favour in my maturita exam. I would like to personally thank Callum for his lessons which were both very educative and fun.
